Morgan Oliver, your trusted and experienced Ormeau real estate agent announced the Free Tree Program run by the Gold Coast City Council is up and running again for all Gold Coast residents. Recently the Gold Coast City Council announced the Free Tree Program was underway for the 2021 year and rate payers, body corporates and schools are all eligible to participate in the program.
A selection of native trees and shrubs are provided through the Free Tree Program. The species offered varies throughout the year and species are dependent on availability. Typically, the plants range in size from tube stock through to 200mm pot size plants.
Ratepayers are entitled to two free trees per household. This year the Gold Coast City Council has departed from previous arrangements where trees could be chosen and collected from the Coombabah Nursery. This year, localised collection venues are available across the city, allowing residents easier access to the scheme.
